Every time I tell another curvy gal that I blog about Body Positivity, I always get the same question: where do you shop?
I decided that I wanted to compile a list of my favorite places to visit when I need to oomph up my wardrobe. Unfortunately, not all of these cater to plus size women in-store, but they all offer online options. (But still, come onnnnn).
This list has a bit of everything, so keep reading no matter your age, size, or even gender! All are welcome here.
Old Navy
This is honestly my go-to. I have found some incredible pieces at Old Navy. Whether you’re looking for total basics (tank tops, long sleeves, jeans), or something fun to add to your wardrobe (moto jacket, button down dress, white flare jeans), they have it all (and at a low, low price!). The quality isn’t amazing, so think of this as a fun seasonal shopping experience. You won’t have these pieces forever, so have fun with it.
Old Navy offers plus size options in-stores and online, with sizes up to a 4X!
Loft
As many of my readers know, I LOVE LOFT. They released their plus size line in 2018, and it was a slam dunk. This is unfortunately only found online (boooo), but I have never had any issues with orders, returns, or bomb customer service. The sizing just works- so order TTS (remember folks, that means true to size), and look out for good sales (most of what I bought was $20 and under during sales!).
Loft offers up to a size 26 online. Enjoy!
Eloquii
I’m constantly surprised at how many people have never heard of Eloquii! Eloquii has been around for a while, and was bought out by the owners of Anthropologie. This flirty and fresh company caters to women above a size 12, and these pieces are FUN. Polka dots and ruffles on a swimsuit? Hell yes. Flowery bell-bottom jeans? Done. Say goodbye to basic and boring clothing!
You can shop online, or visit one of their 5 US stores (the stores are soooo much fun, and totally instagrammable). Stores are in Chicago, IL, Detroit, MI, Houston, TX, Miami, FL, and Pentagon City, VA.
Madewell
Also new-ish to the world of curve is Madewell! Although I still can’t track down any sizes above an XL/32 in stores, I do love to browse online. If you’re looking for quality, then this is the perfect place for you. I don’t think everything is worth the hefty price tag, but I have heard pretty good things about their jeans… It’s on my list!
Madewell carries pants up to a size 37 and other items up to a size 2X (and will hopefully be expanding further!).
ASOS Curve
One of my favorite online retailers (and cult classic) is the famous ASOS Curve. ASOS is a dream, so many sizes, styles, colors… there’s honestly something for everyone. I actually found my favorite jumpsuit on ASOS (see above). Plus, the shoe selection is off the chain.
ASOS is online only and goes up to a size 28.
Good American
Khloe Kardashian’s brand caters to more than just skinny girls with big butts (not that there’s anything wrong with those girls #blessed). This brand is known for their delectably comfortable jeans that make your booty look gooooood. They do run on the expensive side, but from what I’ve heard, it’s worth every dollar.
Jeans go up to a size 28 and you can find these online or at select retailers (I’ve seen them at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack).
Anthropologie
The new A-Plus line is here! It’s here! If you haven’t had the chance, be sure to read all about the new line in my blog post here. I’m a huge fan, but they do keep their prices high. If you’re looking for a really solid piece and you have the cash, this is a great place to start.
They currently carry this line at 10 US stores and online. Sizes 16-26.
Target: Who What Wear
Top- Anthropologie
It’s no secret that Target has seriously stepped up their game in the last few years. The Who What Wear clothing collection basically changed people’s lives. This is always hit or miss to me (sizes can be off), but overall, I’m very impressed with the selection at Target these days. I recommend shopping in-store opposed to online in order to get the sizing right!
Swimsuits for All
Planning your next beach vacation? Don’t be intimidated when hitting up the swimsuit department! Instead, shop online. I love Swimsuits for All, Ashley Graham’s line of plus-size swimwear. The styles are so so so cute, and they evolve every season! Plus, sale prices can be super low.
**Pro Tip** Read the reviews from other customers before buying for more information on what to expect from the suit. I have found that some of them are a little off in sizing, so I always read these before buying! Also, online-only as of now.
Draper James, ModCloth, and Universal Standard
All deserve an honorable mention for carrying sizes higher than a 12 (score!), but I haven’t personally tried these brands yet. ModCloth carries up to a size 28, Universal Standard up to a size 40 (woooo!!!), and Draper James up to a size 24. Try them out and let me know what you think!
